As a trans person, my safety depends on a constant awareness of how I'm perceived moment to moment. My body is unwillingly offered up for public consumption, my identity weaponized against me. In printmaking, I am free to take back my own image. I carve my body into the tender shapes I know, and I offer myself to you on my own terms.
